Internal Number: 457130 Department Name: H6250:Imaging Services Job Summary: The CT Technologist provides CT imaging for patients that assists the patient's physician in expediting needed care. Quality, efficiency, and service excellence are all essential parts of this position. Duties include performing diagnostic and interventional procedures per department protocols, providing feedback on image for improvement as needed, addressing customer needs appropriately according to age specific, service specific and disease specific criteria, and utilizing proper procedure for identifying patients. This position will also assist in a QA review to maintain professional standards for themselves and any technologists that they are called upon to assist. Maintaining patient efficiency by spending the most appropriate amount of time for each task and interaction will be an essential job function and adhering to the UK HealthCare Values during interactions with patients, coworkers, and physicians, as well as all external and internal customers will also be essential. Maintaining privacy and confidentiality is required. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted based on current demand for this role. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $24.96/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience. This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted. Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent patient care skills and technical/CT knowledge. Position Time Status: Full-Time Required Education: AA Required Related Experience: 0 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification : ARRT and Kentucky State Radiation Operators License. CT certification obtained within one year of hire date. Preferred Education/Experience: At least one year of CT experience preferred.
