The main purpose of the Field Placement Coordinator is to communicate with TU faculty, as well as area school systems and child care centers, to place teacher candidates for internships, field experiences, and observations under the direction and guidance of the Partnerships and Placements Manager of the Center for Professional Practice (CPP). CPP is the office that manages internships and field experiences for TU's educator preparation programs. This is a part-time 24 hour per week contractual position on campus.

• Communicate with TU faculty for course-specific placement needs for internships, field experiences, and observations under the direction and guidance of the Partnerships and Placements Manager of CPP.
• Communicate with school systems and child care centers to place teacher candidates for internships, field experiences, and observations under the direction and guidance of the Partnerships and Placements Manager of CPP.
• Oversee coordination and organization of PDS and non-PDS placement records with faculty, staff and public school partners. Organizaiton of records includes data entry into Student Learning & Licensure (SL&L).
• Update WordPress site for district fingerprinting directions, training requirements, and orientation information.
• Receive visitors in the CPP office, respond to in-person and phone inquiries, and other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 or more years of public school teaching experience
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office, One Drive, and willingness to learn new systems
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to stay well organized in fast-paced, service oriented office

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Maryland Public School systems strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Maryland Professional Development Schools

$23.30/hour and a contract that offers annual leave, holidays, sick days and tuition remission.
