Internal Number: 148704 The Scholar-in-Residence is a non-tenure track faculty position appointed on the basis of outstanding leadership in education, in addition to exemplary teaching and scholarship in his/her field. The role of the Director of the EdD program is to supervise and coordinate the academic administration and governance of the EdD program, serve as the point of contact for EdD students enrolled in the program and work with internal and external partners to develop and deliver an interdisciplinary approach to applied research in educational leadership. The Scholar-in-Residence teaches up to three courses per academic year and support EdD students as a committee member, as invited, for dissertation projects. The Scholar-in-Residence and EdD director reports to the Director of the School of Leadership and Professional Studies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities of the Scholar-in-Residence/EdD Director are assigned by the Director of the School of Leadership and Professional Studies and include, but are not limited to:
The Scholar-in-Residence/EdD Director works closely with the Director of the School of Leadership and Professional Studies and the EdD Program Manager. Supervision The Scholar-in-Residence/EdD Director receives administrative supervision from the Director of the School of Leadership and Professional Studies and may exercise supervision of graduate assistants or student workers.
