Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Serves as assistant to the Associate Vice President for DELO and the Director of Business Operations in scheduling and planning, travel, correspondence, meeting facilitation, data compilation, and routine administrative tasks.
Serves as the first contact for DELO by professionally answering phones and provides customer service to faculty and clients in the DELO AVP office.
Provides event planning for activities within the Division of Extended Learning and Outreach and assists in coordination with DELO units for external events.
Manages and supervises student workers within the DELO office.
Assists with document tracking for all administrative and financial documents that flow through the DELO AVP office (i.e. maintain excel and access databases tracking form 16's, travel vouchers, etc.)
Assists with special projects within all DELO programs (i.e. reviews and proofreads marketing documents, provides support for promotional efforts, assists with non-credit programs, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President or Director of Business Operations.
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success:
Experience and/or demonstrated skill providing customer service
Experience and/or demonstrated skill using databases and electronic documents (i.e. Banner, Infoview or Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office)
Experience in an office setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Must be able to act independently under general direction and work in a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, plus 2 years clerical experience
Salary: $12 - $14/hr
