The School of Nursing at Western Kentucky University (WKU) invites applications for a nine-month Assistant Professor position in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.
Appointment is effective August 15th, 2019 or when position is filled.
All of our programs offer different methods of delivery and we currently offer many classes at three WKU Satellite Campuses. All successful candidates must have the ability to engage in alternative modes of instructional delivery that may include online courses, IVS, and offering courses at Western Kentucky University's (WKU) extended campus sites.
The School of Nursing offers the following programs: an Associate of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (pre-licensure and RN to BSN Completion) a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). The Mission of the School of Nursing (SON) at WKU is to produce nationally and globally competitive nursing graduates at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate levels and to provide continuing education opportunities for lifelong learning to our constituents. Licensure as a APRN and RN in Kentucky or a compact state is required.
A minimum of two years nursing practice as a FNP within the last 5 years.
Previous teaching experience in graduate nursing education.
All graduate positions in the School of Nursing require a Doctorate.
