The duties / responsibilities of the Agricultural Studies faculty member are:
Selecting and compiling tests, assignments, and/or discussion exercises that permit the measurement of course competencies and learning objectives. Courses taught will primarily be courses within the Production Agriculture Operations Track. This track focuses on commercial agriculture production, primarily related to field crop production, with mechanical and financial record keeping classes also a possibility.
Reviewing any textbook and other courseware changes prior to implementation with the Agricultural Studies program director.
Timely completion of assessments.
Creating and maintaining available course syllabus and contact information to students.
Actively participate in the development, maintenance, and student use of the developing OCTC school farm, utilizing it for student enrichment and demonstrations to the greatest extent possible.
Timely submission of all grades for any assignments, discussion board exercises, and exams for course completion.
Maintaining communication with the Agricultural Studies program director on course and/or student concerns.
Teaching at least one summer course will be required. Supporting students on the school farm will also be necessary during summer months.
Other course and farm related duties as needed.
